Questions

Common questions

Can WellCollar track landowner free gas?

Yes. Set each landowner's yearly free gas allowance, record meter readings and bill usage over the allowance.

Does it warn me before a lease lapses?

Yes. Lease obligations carry due dates and show up as overdue when they're missed, and lease-risk views flag leases that need attention.

How does WellCollar find idle wells?

It checks each Ohio well's oil and gas from your own run tickets and gas sales. Two straight years with none (eight quarters for horizontal wells) means the well must be plugged or placed in temporary inactive status, and WellCollar flags it and shows the state's last production year next to it.

Can it total my plugging liability?

Yes. Enter a plugging estimate per well or one default cost, and WellCollar totals it for your idle wells and for every unplugged well, the number lenders and buyers ask for.
